Best Western Plus Raton Hotel

This hotel was probably one of the best one in Raton. We have stayed in many other establishment in Raton in the past and this is one surpass all the other. Please keep in mind I am rating this hotel base on it's location and not global. The hotel has a door to the street for easy loading and unloading and an inner door to the covered courtyard (with a pool) that you can go restaurant, front desk, etc without having to put winter gears. It was very convenient, better restaurant than most fast food around that area and clean. Since we pass this route often, I will be staying here from now on.

The staff, particularly the check-in pair, were excellent. We made a booking for 2 seniors online via Booking.com, and had printed-out the confirmation showing 2 individuals, no pets, which I fortunately brought with us. When we arrived to check in 4pm Wed Nov 27 at the Raton NM BW,, the 2 young ladies at the desk told us 'Booking.com's reservation sent to the Motel showed us traveling with a 3rd person, and that we had requested a 'pet-friendly' room (we do not have a pet!), at a higher room rate than we had confirmed. They then went to work, corrected the error and provided what we had booked. As a followup, we became Best Western members. All else went well.

Cleanliness, comfort. Entire staff friendly and kind. Everyone in breakfast area very attentive and nice. I don't know her name but she helped w my wheelchair and brought pancakes to me, she is exceptionally caring and sweet. She deserves a great big Muchas Gracias and recognition for her hard work and kindness to everyone. I noticed how nice she was to everyone..who were enjoying bkfst. Also hot bkfst so good more than we expected. Having actual glasses plates etc was appreciated. Thank you for our enjoyable stay w easy access to bkfst area..

When I was younger, I remember Best Western Hotels as among the best a town had to offer. The Raton Hotel is a hidden gem that personifies “Best Western”. The room was beautifully decorated and larger than more expensive accommodations. Staff, whether front desk or restaurant were amazing! My husband loved being able to park our truck and trailer within view from our room.

This hotel is unique and very clean, you get exactly what is advertised, which is refreshing! Very beautiful inviting entrance with flower arrangements and places to sit. Front desk staff was extremely kind, thorough and patient explaining everything available. The rooms were amazing, had a door leading to the outside and another door that leads to the indoor area. The beds are extremely comfortable. The breakfast was quite possibly the best I've ever seen at a hotel, very clean and organized with a large array of options. They even have a large indoor heated pool! You do not want to miss out on staying here. Very cool layout/design of hotel.

The breakfast could use some biscuits and sausage gravy and/or even bacon available. Also could have a bigger variety of items for children that don't eat eggs, etc.

Even though the property is on the old side, it is very well maintained. The bed was comfortable. It was nice to have complimentary coffee drinks and cocoa. The staff was very welcoming and helpful!

Was pleasantly surprised by this well run hotel in Raton. They have managed to avoid the drop-off in service that we have noticed in recent years. The place was clean and everything was as it should be. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Will definitely stay here again. The property is dated, but refurbished and nice. Nostalgia hit me hard as I remembered how excited I was to stay at a place like this as a kid in the 70s, would have been too much if they had a video arcade, lol.

The property is not new but is very well maintained. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and quiet. The staff is FANTASTIC!

It was convenient. Perfect for our 2 dogs. The restaurant was very nice, with great food and excellent service. Breakfast was good, and they had the best green chili! We will stay there again!!
